What to look for in an insole
Insoles need to have 2 things, support and cushioning. Just because something feels nice in your shoes does not mean it’s giving your foot the correct support you need. Support is needed to control the ankle joint and to support the foot from moving too much which creates stress and pain, it needs to have a firm shell but not too hard where the foot cannot move. The type of support needed really does depend on the person’s foot type and the condition that is giving a person pain. Cushioning is needed to cushion out the foot, anything too hard will create more problems, after all no one wants to walk around with a thick piece of plastic in there shoe!

The insole is then custom designed in house by our Podiatrist who have assessed you, this makes the insole more accurate and minimises any errors. We can make the slimmest insole available with the correct support depending personal circumstances.
